Botanical Name: Mentha x piperita Origin: India Extraction Method: Steam Distilled Plant Part: Leaves Strength of Aroma: Strong Aromatic Scent: Organic Peppermint has a fresh, cool, sweet grassy-minty scent. Blends well with: Basil (sweet), Coriander, Eucalyptus Globulus, Eucalyptus Radiata, Geranium, Lavender, Lemon, Palmarosa, Pepper (black), Rosemary, Spearmint, Spruce, Vanilla C02, Wintergreen, Ylang Ylang. Suggested Uses: High in Menthol, Organic Peppermint has many of the same applications as Peppermint Supreme. When diffused it can help with nausea, headaches and congestion. It is also great when added to a carrier oil and used in a massage or to help relieve muscle pain. Cautions: Do not apply on or near the face of infants or children. We recommend a max dilution of 5% for topical applications. Peppermint Essential Oil Botanical Name: Mentha arvensis (Japanese Peppermint) Common Uses: Peppermint is widely credited with being a digestive aid. Peppermint leaves contain menthol, which is a proven aid to digestion. The familiar aroma of Mentha piperita is known for both its warming and cooling properties. Friendly to the sinuses, peppermint is also useful to the muscular system, especially for women during monthly cycles or menopause. Peppermint is commonly known from peppermint tea, chewing gum or candy, but the Essential Oil is much more strong and concentrated and should be used in moderation. Very fresh and clean smelling. Refreshing, mental stimulant, energizing, used to enhance well-being of digestive and respiratory system. Relieves bad breath. Good nerve tonic that helps with mental fatigue and nervous stress. Mixes well with: Basil, eucalyptus, geranium, grapefruit, juniper, lavender, lemon, myrrh, pine, rosemary, spearmint, tea tree, and wintergreen. Safety Information: Avoid if pregnant or breast feeding. Do not use on babies or small children. May cause irritation to sensitive skin, however it is rare.
