Cade is a kind of Juniper and is primarily grown in the Mediterranean. It is also known as Prickly Juniper or Juniper Tar. Cade essential oil is manufactured by destructive distillation and then steam distillation. Cade essential oil can be used in soaps and perfumes because it features intense woody, smoky, tar-like and leathery note. Its aroma is helpful in uplifting the spirit and causes a joyful feeling. 



Cade oil is found out to be effective in treating skin rashes, itching, dandruff, melasma, and acute contact dermatitis. Moreover, since the earlier times, it has been widely used to relieve discomfort from symptoms of leprosy, snake bites, toothache, certain types of cancer, head lice, peptic ulcer, hypertension, pneumonia, acute bronchitis, and diarrhea.

This is a lovely oil, it’s not thick and dark, which means it is produced the correct way, and contains no carcinogens. It is thin, but not watery of course, and has a dark tint but it is not black like some other Cade oils I have received from different suppliers. I just received my bottle and I am very very pleased with this product. It definitely has a smoky scent, much like woodfire, and I tried mixing cedar oil with it, it smelled perfect. Certainly one of the better oils I have bought.
