Lemon Eucalyptus essential oil is termed so because of it is lemon-scented eucalyptus oil. It actually has sweet, rose-citronella combo of aroma. Lemon eucalyptus is usually used as an alternative to citronella for those who don’t like the scent of the latter. It can be used in scented candles, potpourris, colognes, and insect repellents.
Lemon Eucalyptus can be combined with a wide range of other essential oils such as black pepper, clary sage, cypress, eucalyptus, clove, frankincenseginger, juniper, lavender, cedarwood, marjoram, basil, orange, ylang ylang, peppermint, pine, ravensara, rosemary, sage, tea tree, geranium, vetiver, and thyme.
It can be diffused inside the home or office if the scents of floral and citrus are your preference. These can blend harmoniously with eucalyptus aroma.

It can ward off annoying insects when diffused in a room. It may also be applied to the skin to repel mosquitoes. Some insect repellent makers include lemon eucalyptus oil in the ingredients for people who want deet-free repellents, although deet makes the repelling action of commercially made mosquito repellents last longer.
Using a solution with 30% lemon eucalyptus oil (Citriodiol) three times a day is proven to minimize tick attacks to people who live in tick-infested places.
Blending lemon eucalyptus essential oil with menthol and camphor can also treat onychomycosis or nail fungal infection. I bought this oil exclusively for adding scent to my families laundry. We have sensitive skin so we must use dye and perfume free detergents, since this is a natural oil I am able to add it to our detergent without worry. It smells strong and pleasant, we really enjoy the smell. I have also used it on my steam mop pads which give it a nice clean smell. If you are NOT looking for a product to repel mosquitoes (which I am not) then I think you will like this oil.
