Cajeput is a cousin to the more well known tea tree oil and is found primarily in Indonesia and the hotter regions of Australia. Our cajeput is 100% Pure, steam distilled, and a product of Indonesia. The botanical name is Melaleuca cajuputi.
This small tree, whose name in Indonesian means 'white wood', has branches that droop like those of a weeping willow. Its leaves are highly aromatic when crushed, and the oil is used much in the same way as Tea Tree Oil is used in Australia. Two drops with 4 drops of peppermint in a vaporizer or diffuser will clear the air. Two drops diluted in a teaspoon of carrier oil can be used as massage oil for tight muscles and to help alleviate exhaustion, and a few drops in hot water can be used as foot soak at the end of a tiring day.
